Since 1929, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Alpha Mu Omega Chapter members have served the Indianapolis community through impactful programming, generous scholarships, and visionary leadership. Our membership comprises a diverse group of college-trained women, ranging from C-suite professionals to Entrepreneurs. With over 500 active members, Alpha Mu Omega is committed to the Sorority’s mission to be of Service to All Mankind.
Chapter Meeting Information
Alpha Mu Omega Chapter meetings are open to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® only. The chapter meets on the 1st Sunday of each month, except for July and August. Please contact us at membership@akaamo.org if you’re a member and would like to attend our chapter meeting. All visiting members must have a valid photo ID for verification (Driver’s License, Military ID, or ID card). Secondary identification may include, but is not limited to:
- Current or expired financial card
- Official certificate of sorority membership
- Transfer verification form from the respective chapter with required signatures
- An Ivy Leaf® showing the member’s financial card number and address label
Reactivating Members
Alpha Mu Omega welcomes all members who have been inactive for a year or more to reactivate with the chapter. Please contact our Membership Chairman at membership@akaamo.org and complete the Graduate Chapter Reactivation Form. The form should be submitted to the chapter, along with a money order/certified check, covering all applicable reactivation/reinstatement fees, chapter dues, and any other applicable fees and assessments.
Transfer Members
If you are a member from out of state and looking to transfer your membership to Alpha Mu Omega, please contact your current chapter of affiliation to have the Transfer Verification Form completed.
